VASER® Lipo

People come in all different shapes and sizes. Every body type has areas that are predisposed to fat storage and, even with rigorous diet and exercise, those unwanted bulges often persist. What is VASER Lipo? Is it different than traditional liposuction?

VASER Lipo is a minimally invasive procedure that precisely and efficiently removes unwanted body fat. An alternative to the harsh techniques of traditional liposuction, VASER Lipo uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology designed to gently reshape your body. What distinguishes the VASER Lipo procedure is its ability to differentiate targeted fat from other important tissues – such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue. Innovative VASER technology breaks up fat while conserving these other important tissues. Only the VASER Lipo procedure uses the proprietary VASER System to first liquefy fat and then remove it from the body to promote smooth results and rapid healing with only low to minimal pain.

What happens during VASER Lipo?

First, the area to be reshaped is filled with a special saline solution that helps numb the site and shrink the blood vessels (to minimize blood loss and reduce bruising). This solution wets and fills the area to be treated, making it easier to break up fatty tissue with the VASER Lipo System's ultrasound energy. Then a small probe transmits sound energy (similar to that used for cataract removal from the eye) to fragment fatty tissue on contact while leaving other important tissues largely intact. Finally, the liquefied fat is removed through a gentle suction process designed to minimize damage to surrounding tissues.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing

"Turn back time" using this non-ablative resurfacing procedure that can lead to better skin texture, tighter skin tone, and a noticeable lightening of wrinkles, dark spots and stretch marks. More than one treatment may be required, depending on treatment areas, but each treatment should lead to sloughing of dead skin, and formation of a new skin layer. Hair Removal

Hair follicles are treated using gentle pulses of light, which are emitted directly into the hair follicle. Unlike laser, which uses only one wavelength of light, our technology uses multiple wavelengths that are selectively absorbed into the hair follicle, with minimal effect on the surrounding skin. Treatment areas may include the bikini line, face, back, under arms, legs, or anywhere you have unwanted hair. Hemangiomas

Small, red vascular spots, sometimes called cherry hemangiomas, usually appear with age and can be safely treated in our office using intense pulsed light (IPL). Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Utilization of a limited number of light pulses to treat specificUtilization of limited number of light pulses, to treat specific areas of the skin. IPL uses several wavelengths, as opposed to a single wavelength characteristic of laser light. IPL can be used to treat unwanted hair, pigmented or vascular lesions, or for skin resurfacing.

Laser

"Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". Laser technology isolates a single wavelength for targeting specific treatment areas. Laser light can be used for cosmetic procedures, and also as a tool in general surgical cases. Laser light targets a specific tissue type, based on the wavelength isolated.

Leg Veins

Spider veins and some varicose veins can be effectively treated using pulsed laser treatments. This quick and non-invasive treatment is well-tolerated, and can lead to excellent results with only a few treatments.

Skin Tightening

Using advanced pulse light technology, the upper layers of the skin surface (epidermis) are penetrated by light energy, stimulating new collagen growth beneath the dermal layers. This process leads to tightening and toning of relaxed skin. Since the epidermis is undamaged by the nature of this technology, clients can expect minimal downtime after their procedure.

Spider Veins

Small, superficial purple or red veins, stretching like a web under the surface of the skin. These can be treated with laser light, or intense pulsed light (IPL), depending on size and location.

Sun Spots

Sun Spots, also called "birthmarks", "liver spots" or "age spots", are flat brown areas that are often found on your hands, face, chest and arms. They can be caused by chronic sun exposure, but can also be due to natural aging processes. We use light energy to break up the melanin in your skin that causes the discoloration.
